India and Pakistan have agreed to take effective steps to stop shelling on the Kashmir border. The decision was taken after a meeting between the two armies on Thursday. The historic decision was discussed by the Pakistan Army, which was discussed by the Director General of DGMOs of India and Pakistan.
Both sides will abide by all agreements on the Line of Control and other borders.
The two sides also agreed to stop firing. Earlier, in 2003, the two countries agreed to a ceasefire in the border area.
This rule is still in force in the register.
But most of the time there were allegations of breach of contract. At present, experts believe that the agreement needs to be renegotiated to resolve the border issue.
