The Prisons Department has formed an investigation committee to look into how the CCTV footage of a woman's meeting with a prisoner at Kashimpur Jail came out. The three-member committee was formed on January 31.

Jessore Division DIG (Prisons) of the Department of Prisons has been made the head of the committee. Chagir Mia. The other members are, Kashimpur High Security Central Jail Senior Superintendent (current duties). Gias Uddin and Faridpur District Jail Superintendent Al Masum. A member of the committee said they were investigating how CCTV footage and important documents inside the jail got out.

On Sunday, the investigation team will go to Kashimpur Jail and start the on-the-spot work.

The woman was also seen intimate with the prisoner. At that time, the CCTV footage also showed the jail officials assisting them.

When the matter was published in the media, a brawl started. In the incident, some officials of the jail have already been suspended.
