On the occasion of the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, a limited discussion was held at the Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar. Prayers and supplications are made. A minute of silence was observed in memory of the language martyrs.
On the occasion of the day, the speeches of the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh were read out. Earlier, Ambassador of Bangladesh MHM School and College in Doha, Md. Jasim Uddin made a short speech by lowering the national flag in half.
At the embassy counselor said. Md. Mustafizur Rahman, Counselor. Nazmul Hasan, Counselor. Mahbur Rahman, First Secretary Tanmoy Islam, School Director. Anwar Khurshid, Principal. Teachers including Jasim Uddin were present. Earlier, the Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar organized a program on the occasion of Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.
On Saturday (February 20) an online speech and quiz competition was held in Bengali with the participation of Bangladeshi citizens. The speech competition was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar Md. Jasim Uddin.
In the speech competition, 3 out of 3 groups won first, second and third place respectively. The winners of this competition are Umme Hani, Samrin Jahan Sara, Samia Akhtar, Md. Didar Uzzaman, Mohsin, Mahzebin Binte Hasan, Maisha Zaman, Rahnuma Anjum and Mahmudul Alam. A total of 10 contestants got the highest marks in the quiz competition.
The winners are Durria Alisha, Fakrul Alam, Billal Hossain, Miftahul Falha, Obaidullah Al Rafi, Jannatul Mawa, Mahmudur Rahman, Kamal Uddin, Kamal Hossain and Jahangir Kabir.
