Ganga bath and 7-day rural fair has started at Naliya Harithakur's house in Jamalpur union of Baliakandi in Rajbari.
In the Ganga bath, devotees bathe in the Ganges from dawn in the hope of goodness by offering various materials including belpata, flowers, paddy and turmeric in their hands.
Many devotees from home and abroad participate in bathing in the Ganges. After bathing in the Ganges, the Mahanamajnanusthan will start from Sunday morning at 32 noon.
Nishit Kumar Sarkar, a devotee from Faridpur, who came to bathe, said, "We come here every year to bathe in the Ganges."
Devotees from different parts of the country come here to bathe. Basically bathing in the Ganges to be free from world peace and wickedness. The fair is held on the occasion of bathing in the Ganges.
There is a huge demand for bamboo and cane materials and household items. We have had a difficult year.
