Italy has been fined 7 million by Italy for unfair commercial practices with customer data.
The country's policy-making body announced the fine on Wednesday. The agency claims that Facebook has not complied with policymakers' requests to stop unfair commercial practices.
Facebook did not immediately comment on the matter. Earlier, in November 2018, the Italian antitrust company ruled that Facebook did not properly inform customers about data collection and use. At that time, the company also fined the social media giant Facebook 5 million Euros.
In addition, for every registered Italian user on the Italian Facebook website, the site was asked to publish a statement of correction on the Facebook app.
