The election of 'Bangladesh Film Club Limited', an organization of film industry stakeholders, is being held at FDC.
The organization's annual AGM is held from 11 a.m. on Saturday. Then the voting started from 2 pm. Will run until 6 p.m.
Actor Omar Sunny and actor, distributor-exhibitor Atiqur Rahman Liton are contesting for the post of president in this election. The members of Bangladesh Film Club Limited elect the leader for one year by exercising their right to vote.
Mahmudul Haque Palash, Nazrul Raj, Syed Rafiuddin Selim, Engineer MA Jahan, Shri Ajit Roy Nandi, Md. Abdullah Zeyad, Zahid Hossain, Mozaharul Islam Obaid, MA Kamal and Jahangir Alam Jahangir are being selected as members of the panel headed by Omar Sunny.
Jasim Ahmed, Apurba Roy, Sarwar Ali Bhuiyan Dipu, Asikur Rahman Nadim, Aziz Ahmed Pappu, Shah Mohammad are on the panel led by Atiqur Rahman Liton. Alamgir Bachchu, Anwar Hossain Anu, Akhtar Hossain, Kabir Hossain and Md. Moniruzzaman. Omarsani is contesting for the post of president from the 'Omrsani-Palash' panel.
