At least 10 people have been injured in a clash between two Awami League groups in Faridpur's Boalmari district. Around 20 houses were vandalized in two clashes on Sunday and Monday. Upon receiving the news, the police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Selimuzzaman Litu was supposed to hold an election meeting. At this time, another potential chairman candidate and Juba League leader. It is alleged that local Hasmat Sheikh, along with Rafiqul Islam, tried to disrupt the meeting with his followers.
At that time, both sides got involved in clashes with domestic weapons. The attackers vandalized three shops during the clashes. At least 10 people from both groups were injured in the incident. Among the injured, Hasmat Sheikh was rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition was critical. Besides, Rabiul Mollah, Abzal Mollah, Ujwal Sheikh and Jamal Matubbar of Poail village have been given treatment in the emergency department of Boalmari Upazila Health Complex. About 20 houses including Sirajul Islam's house were vandalized and looted.
Another person named Mintu Mollah was injured in the incident. Laiju Begum, niece of Sirajul Islam, said that on Monday morning, the house was vandalized by the people of the opposition. Chatul Union Chairman Sharif Mohammad said. Selimuzzaman Litu said, “I had an election meeting and there was supposed to be public relations at the end of the meeting.
But my opponents have thwarted my pre-arranged program by resorting to violent means. When my people resisted, they beat them severely and carried out extensive vandalism and looting. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station Mohammad Nurul Alam said that the police went to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Additional police have been deployed in the area at present. The situation in the area is calm now. One person has been arrested in the incident.
