The Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP has paid homage to the great martyrs by laying a wreath at the central Shaheed Minar.

After paying homage to the memory of the language martyrs on Sunday morning, senior joint secretary general of the party Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "Currently, the country is being run through mafia and dictatorship. The government has established a one-party system of governance in the country.

The spirit of the liberation war, the spirit of Ekushey, everything is confused. In the sixty-two movement we got the right to education. "But we have not been able to hold on to these achievements," he said. BNP leader Aman said, "We pay tribute to those who got the right to language in exchange for their blood and democracy. Democracy is missing in the country today.

On this day, our strong oath is to bring back democracy by overthrowing this unelected, illegitimate, dictatorial regime. Engineer Ishraq Hossain said, "There is no democracy in the country for the last 13 years. Those who were terrorists in the country's neighborhoods now control the country's policy.
