Incumbent mayor and BNP candidate Tajkin Ahmed Chishti has been elected mayor of Satkhira municipality with 25,088 votes.
His nearest rival Nasim Faruk Khan Mithu got 13,221 votes. Sheikh Naserul Haque got 13,050 votes, SM Mustafizur Rauf got 1,679 votes and Nurul Huda got 2,888 votes. A total of 55,926 votes were cast.
District Returning Officer Nazmul Kabir announced the final results of a total of 37 centers this evening.
