The ruling party Awami League has also won in the last round of municipal elections. The Awami League candidate has won in 27 out of 29 municipalities. BNP has won only in Bogra municipality. Rezaul Karim Badsha has won here.

Sanwar Hossain Sanu in Jamalpur, Mirza Golam Kibria Kabir in Madarganj, Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan in Mymensingh, SM Rabin Hossain in Gazipur, Abdur Rashid Khan in Napole, Chapainawabganj, Mostaf in Joypurhat. Hossain Iyad, Awlad Khan in Shibchar, Ataur Rahman in Habiganj and Rafika Jahan Akter Baby in Syedpur of Nilphamari.
They are Shefali Begum at Shailkupa in Jhenaidah, Abul Kalam Azad at Debidwar in Comilla, Shahidul Islam in Madhukhali in Faridpur and Yasin Ali in Pabaya in Rajshahi.
Besides, Awami League-backed candidate Delwar Hossain has been elected chairman of Dalbuganj Union Parishad by-election in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali.
