The burial of Mushtaq Ahmed has been completed. He was buried at Azimpur Cemetery in the capital around 10pm on Friday. Earlier, his janaza was held at Minar Mosque in Lalmatia.
His family members, relatives and locals took part in the janaza. Mushtaq Ahmed was lodged in the Kashimpur High Security Central Jail in Gazipur in connection with the Digital Security Act case.
He suddenly fell ill inside the jail on Thursday evening. After being taken to the jail hospital, he was sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
The doctor on duty there declared him dead at 8:20 pm. Mushtaq Ahmed Md. Son of Abdur Razzak.
Ramna Model Police Station had a case against him under the Digital Security Act.
He has been lodged in the jail since August 2020.
