A schoolboy named Riyad (14) was killed in a bus crash at Lebukhali ferry terminal in Patuakhali while returning from a picnic. The tragic accident took place at Lebukhali end of Kuakata-Barisal highway in Dumki upazila around 10:30 pm on Friday. Together we come to visit the tourist center Kuakata for a family picnic.
On the way back from Kuakata, there was a long line of transport at the ferry terminal, so we got out of the car to have breakfast. He was crushed to death on the spot. Before we knew it, the vehicle turned around and fled to Patuakhali.
His uncle also said that he was studying in a local technical school in Riyadh. The officer-in-charge of Dumki police station (OC) Md. Mehdi said a tourist named Riyadh was crushed and a bus named Kuakata Express fled towards Patuakhali.
We have sent a message to Patuakhali police. Attempts are being made to stop the bus. Appropriate measures are being taken in this regard.
