Saudi Arabia has sentenced a Saudi national to death for killing a Bangladeshi domestic worker.
Ayesha's husband Basem Salem and son Walid have been jailed in the same incident. The Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia has confirmed this information.
The verdict was announced in a local court in Saudi Arabia on February 14. The Bangladeshi domestic worker's name is Abiran Begum. Ayesha Abiron, who was sentenced to death, was a housewife.
Ayesha's son Walid has been sentenced to 7 months in jail and ordered to be sent to a juvenile correctional center.
Ayesha's husband has been jailed and fined in different terms.
