A writ petition has been filed in the High Court seeking directions to reopen the educational institution without any delay. Bhawal Mirzapur Public School and College Principal Md. Abdul Qayyum Sarkar.
Gazipur Bhawal Mirzapur Public School and College Principal. Abdul Qayyum Sarkar filed the writ petition (949/2021) on Thursday on behalf of the petitioner, according to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
In the writ petition, 6 persons including the education secretary and the director general of the education department have been made defendants. An RG has been filed in the writ petition seeking directions to open the educational institution without any delay.
Confirming the writ petition, lawyer Farooq Alamgir Chowdhury told the media, Justice. Khasruzzaman and Justice. The writ petition will be heard by a High Court division bench comprising Mahmud Hasan Talukder.
Earlier, a legal notice was issued on January 11 to all concerned to take action to reopen the educational institutions which had been closed since March 17 last year.
