Work is underway to bring all citizens of the country, including journalists, under the pension scheme, said Planning Minister M.A. Mannan.
He said a pension scheme for universities is currently underway. Journalists are the progressive people of the society. They catch us wrong. They are the mirror of society.
We have plans to bring them under pension on priority basis. He said this while addressing a discussion meeting in memory of late members of Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB), posthumous honors and awarding scholarships to children. The minister said the work of journalists is not just a risk; There are terrible risks. So how to fund the risk for them will be considered.
Apart from this, it will be seen how the welfare fund of the journalists can be further expanded and the allocation can be increased. I will also talk to the finance minister about this.
