Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh has been charged with two counts of making "defamatory remarks" against former mayor Saeed Khokon.

The two cases were filed in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury on Monday. Advocate Sarwar Alam is the plaintiff in one of the two cases and Anisur Rahman is the plaintiff in the other.

Saeed Khokon, former mayor of DSCC, said after the lawsuit, "What is the market value of Tapas' value?" I will know after getting the full details of the case. In addition to the legal action in this case, there will be a calculation of debts on the highway, InshaAllah.

Awami League central leader Saeed Khokon said this in a press release issued on Monday.

Earlier, Saeed Khokon, who appeared at a human chain in front of the Kadam Fountain in the capital on Saturday afternoon, said Tapas had transferred hundreds of crores of rupees from the South City Corporation to his own Madhumati Bank. He has made and is making crores of rupees by investing this money in various individuals and organizations. On the other hand, due to lack of money, the poor employees of the corporation are not getting their salaries for months. Various development projects of the city corporation have been stopped due to lack of funds. Through such activities, the mayor has lost the eligibility to be the mayor as per paragraph 9 (2) (h) of the second chapter of the Tapas City Corporation Act 2009.

He added that Tapas has been campaigning against corruption since taking over as mayor. I'll tell him, Raghabboyal doesn't like the story of limestone. If you want to build a corruption free administration, first of all make yourself free from corruption. Then look at the limestone.
