He was speaking as the chief guest at a public awareness OVC and TVC launching event against extremist activities organized by the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) at the Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Sunday afternoon.

Moinur Chowdhury, Rector of the College of Police Staff. Mohammad Najibur Rahman, DMP Commissioner Moha. Shafiqul Islam and others.
The IGP said the tragic incident of Holy Artisan had moved everyone. We have resisted the extremists with the unwavering support and cooperation of the peace-loving people of the country. The people of this country never like bloodshed. They have never allowed militant activities to succeed in this country.
The police chief said militancy has no place in Islam. This is the religion of peace. There is no chance of creating unrest in its name. Addressing the youth, he said, "If anyone wants to attract you to militancy, let the law enforcement know." I will take action. Militants are trying to attract people to militancy through social media. That is why the police are constantly cyber patrolling on social media. Our ongoing war against militancy will continue.
Welcoming the ATU's initiative to build OVC and TVC, the IGP said ATU is a new unit to curb militancy. It is working successfully to suppress militants across the country. The more I can make people aware against militancy, the more successful I will be.
