According to RAB, on the basis of secret information, RAB members led by Rafiuddin Mohammad Yobayer, Company Commander of Bhairab Camp and Mohammad Belayet Hossain, Squad Commander arrested Yahya and Huzaifa from Uttarpara area of ​​Dighir in Shahbazpur. Two extremist books, two photocopies of extremist books, four leaflets, two mobile phones and three photocopies of text messages on mobile phones were seized from them.

Initially, the two detainees, during interrogation, told the RAB that they had become supporters of the militant group al-Qaeda out of jihad.

The statement further said that the two arrested youths were motivated by jihadi spirit and had been gathering Al Qaeda members in different places of Sarail Upazila and conducting organizational activities as well as carrying out extremist propaganda through extremist books and leaflets and mobile phones. They were stationed at the scene for the purpose of planning to sabotage and attack important persons and installations of the state.
