A tourist named Bablu Mia (32) died of a heart attack while taking a bath at Kuakata beach in Patuakhali. The incident took place in the area adjacent to Zero Point on the beach around 11:30 am on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Bablu Mia, son of Muslim Mia of Dhopakatha village under Jhenahdaha Sadar police station. He was a tailor by profession.

After breakfast, Bablu went to bathe in the sea with some traveling companions around 11:30 pm. At that time one of the companions was taking pictures of him. At one stage, Bablu Mia jumped to take pictures with the waves and drowned.
When he lost consciousness at that time, his associates including a local tourist rescued him and took him to Kuakata Hospital. Later, the doctor on duty declared Bablu dead. Her son Mahim also had a picnic. The police official added that Bablu had fallen ill at his home two months ago, according to his family.
Kuakata Hospital Medical Officer. Mainul Hasan said the man died before he was brought to the hospital. He was initially thought to have died of a heart attack from a severe cold.
