In Bogra, a procession started to create a portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The portrayal of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has started with the planting of two special varieties of rice saplings.
One of the two varieties of rice will be golden and the other will be blue. And the bigger the combination of these two colors, the bigger the portrait of Bangabandhu will be. The portrait can be easily understood by looking at it through the eyes of a bird (high place) rather than with the naked eye.
On the occasion of Mujib's birth centenary, this exceptional program has been taken at the initiative of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu National Assembly and in collaboration with National Agricare. Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Presidium Member, Bangladesh Awami League, inaugurated the event by planting two high yielding rice seedlings as the chief guest.
Later, the inaugural function was presided over by AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Chief Patron of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Jatiya Parishad and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain addressed the meeting as the keynote speaker. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu National Assembly President and Central President of Bangladesh Krishka League Sameer Chandra, Member Secretary KSM Mostafizur Rahman, Bogra District Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Majnu, General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Sherpur-Dhunat MP Habibur Rahman, MP Tanvir were present on the occasion. Shakil Joy, co-president of the Central Volunteer League. Abdur Razzak, District Awami League Co-President T Zaman Niketa, Joint General Secretary Asadur Rahman Dulu, Organizing Secretary Principal Shahadat Alam Jhunu, Ed: Zakir Hossain Nawab, Office Secretary Al Razi Jewel, Sherpur Upazila Awami League President Abdur Sattar along with Awami League Central, District- Leaders of different levels of the upazila were present.
