India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India will not unilaterally reduce the number of troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Ladakh unless China reduces it. He said this in an interview given to an Indian TV channel on the Ladakh issue on Saturday.
Stating that China has betrayed the trust, Defense Minister Rajnath said that there has been tension on the Ladakh border for nine months. India believes in a negotiated solution. But the matter did not move forward at all. As a result, it is not possible to say when the conflict will be settled.
He added that despite objections to some of the Sino-Indian decisions, India is continuing to work on rapid infrastructure development in the border areas.
