A man named Mohammad Jabed, 20, was killed in a shootout between two sides at the Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar.
The incident took place at Camp No. 19 in Ukhia on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Islam of Tanzimarkhola Rohingya camp in Palangkhali union of Ukhia upazila.
Confirming the matter, Cox's Bazar 8 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) Commander Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shihab Kaiser Khan said the two sides exchanged fire at Camp No. 19 in Ukhia. One Rohingya was killed. We are at the scene. Details will be informed in this regard. Our operation is going on to catch the gunmen.
He said the body was recovered and sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. There will be a case in this case.
