Miss Universe Bangladesh is going to be held for the second time under the slogan 'My Confidence, My Beauty'. Due to the global epidemic, this time the main event time of 2020 has been changed to 2021. Registration for this year's Miss Universe pageant will begin on Wednesday (January 13). It will continue till January 25.
The official launch of the 2020 competition began on Monday morning with a press conference held at the Padma Hall of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. Present at the press conference were, among others, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 President Rafiqul Islam Duke, National Director Shafiqul Islam, RTV Chief Executive Syed Ashiq Rahman, Northbook Consultancy and Ad Com Managing Director Nazim Farhan Chowdhury, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 winner Shirin Akter Etc. Last year's main sponsor Flora Bank is again involved as the main sponsor of Miss Universe Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Rafiqul Islam Duke said, Miss Universe Bangladesh will present one of the most intelligent, talented and confident young women in Bangladesh to the world court. It is a platform for the women of Bangladesh, where they will come forward in the service of humanity through a variety of social activities, including tackling various challenges along the way.
Currently, violence against women is one of the most serious problems in our society," she said. Through this step, it will be possible to take various steps to create public awareness against violence against women across the country. It is a matter of great pride for us that a representative of Bangladesh will take part in the Miss Universe pageant to show Bangladesh in the international arena and prove that the women of Bangladesh are as confident as the women of any other country in the world.
According to the organizers, the grand finale of Miss Universe Bangladesh will be held next March after the selection and grooming through auditions. The winner of the Bangladesh episode will take part in the main event of Miss Universe in the United States next May.

The first 'Miss Universe Bangladesh' was held in 2019. Shirin Akhter Shila was declared the winner in the final round of the Navratri Hall of Bashundhara Convention on the night of October 23 of that year.
