District court lawyer Sudipta Guha Ashish has been sent to jail in a case filed against him for missing documents from a Rajbari court. He appeared in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court of Rajbari on Wednesday after the High Court granted him bail. At that time, the court judge Tareq Moinul Islam Bhuiyan denied bail and ordered to send him to jail. Lawyer Sudipta Guha Ashish's home is in Sajjakanda village of Rajbari town.

According to court sources, on October 30 last year, court presenter Abdul Wadud filed a case against three persons, including Sudipta Guha Ashish, at the Rajbari Sadar Police Station on the charge of missing documents of a drug case pending in the Rajbari Additional District Judge's Court. Later on October 4, the Rajbari District Bar Association convened a general meeting and unanimously decided to suspend its membership. Lawyer Sudipta Guha took six weeks bail from the high court after the case was filed. He applied for bail in the lower court after his bail expired.

Leaders of the Rajbari District Bar Association said its membership would be suspended until the case is settled.
