The police chief said this while addressing the 'Radhab Service Week' organized on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Benazir Ahmed said everyone under the age of 18 is a child. Human rights activists, NGO workers have shouted and amended many laws. But what happened in Kalabagan is a complete crime. There have been rapes, there have been deaths. But according to the law of the country, both are children.
He said, 'But we have made these laws. Of course we need modernization, as IGP I do not disagree. However, we have to keep in mind whether we are creating any problem in the country while making sophisticated laws.
The police chief said modern Bangladesh, rich Bangladesh will be built by 2041. Today's children and teenagers will basically represent that modern Bangladesh, rich Bangladesh. There is now a 'gang culture' developing among these teenagers.
