A mobile court has sentenced a man to 15 days in jail for obstructing the construction of a house for the homeless in Nilphamari. Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Mahbub Hasan passed the order in a mobile court on Friday afternoon.
According to the Upazila Nirbahi Office, 141 houses are being constructed for the homeless in Jaldhaka Upazila. Though the construction work of houses allotted in different unions of the upazila was completed, a mahal obstructed the construction work of 15 houses in Gopaljhar area of Shaulmari union. Upon receiving the news, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer rushed to the spot. A man named Babul Hossain (40) was arrested from the spot. The arrested Babul is the son of Maqbul Hossain of that village.
Jaldhaka Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Mahbub Hasan said a man named Babul was sentenced to 15 days in jail in a mobile court for obstructing government work.
