Public life in Nilphamari has come to a standstill in winter due to bone-chilling concussion. The foggy winds and drizzle in the north have multiplied the intensity of winter.

According to the Dimla Meteorological Office, the minimum temperature recorded in Nilphamari on Monday was 11.6 degrees Celsius. Due to the active snowfall in the Himalayas, fog is constantly increasing in this area. Nature was shrouded in thick fog from midnight on Sunday to 12 noon on Monday. At this time the fog fell like heavy rain. There was no heat even though the sun was seen in the afternoon. Due to the density of the fog, the visibility is reduced.

To avoid the accident, various vehicles were seen moving with their headlights on till 10 am. No one is leaving the house without a need. However, the working people and the farm laborers have been forced to work for a living.
