However, most people in Hong Kong do not want the vaccine. Only 46 percent of people think it is important to get vaccinated as soon as possible. After the vaccine arrived, the government ordered 7.5 million synovac vaccines. It is expected to leave China this January. The main reason for not coming yet is Hong Kong's caution.
Now the government wants to bring more confidence in the effectiveness of Synovac. So far, the Hong Kong government has confirmed that it has received 22.5 million doses of the vaccine.
