A human chain program has been held in Jhenaidah demanding the resignation of the Election Commission alleging irregularities in the municipal elections across the country due to the failure of the Election Commission. Alleging irregularities in the first round of municipal elections, the speakers demanded the immediate resignation of all commissioners, including the Chief Election Commissioner.
The Jhenaidah Municipal BNP organized the program in front of the party's district office on HSS Road in the city on Monday morning. Leaders of district, upazila and municipal branches of the party spoke on the occasion. District BNP convener Adv. SM Mashiur Rahman, Member Secretary MA Majid, Joint Convener Zahiduzzaman Mona, Thana BNP Convener Munshi Kamal Azad Pannu, Municipal BNP Convener Abdul Majid Biswas and others.
