Mentioning that the government will build cinema infrastructure at the upazila level, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told the filmmakers that in order to deal with the distorted history, quality films should be made keeping the glorious history and consciousness of the liberation war in front of future generations.

We need to make more such films so that future generations can know the history of our victory.
Sheikh Hasina emphasized on the need to highlight the great success, history, ideals and consciousness of the liberation war in films. She said the government would do everything necessary to modernize the film industry.
The Prime Minister said, 'We are setting up a fund for infrastructural development at the upazila level, so that movies are properly screened there and people can get entertainment.
The good old days of cinema are back in the world as people are now watching movies in their homes. But cinema halls also need to attract viewers with movies, she said.
Sheikh Hasina called upon the filmmakers to make films that can be enjoyed together with their families.
Lifetime Achievement Award has been given to Masood Parvez (Sohail Rana) and Kohinoor Akhter Suchanda for their contribution to the film world. The films 'No Dry' and 'Fagun Hawaii' jointly won the award in the best film category.
Tariq Anam Khan won the Best Actor award for 'Again Spring' and Sunerah Binte Kamal won the Best Actress award for 'No Dry'. Zahid Hasan won the Best Actor award for 'Sapludu'.
