The funeral of six people killed in a road accident at Fetualenji village in Netrokona's Purbadhala upazila was completed on Monday afternoon. Five of them were buried together after Janaza prayers. Another was buried at Sidhla village in Gauripur, the home of his father-in-law.

CNG driver Rakibul, 30, son of wife Jyotsna Begum, 25, and Abul Hossain of Charlakshipur village in Mymensingh Sadar.

The bodies of the victims were handed over to the family members on Sunday through Shyamganj police outpost. Later on Monday afternoon, Farooq Mia, Masuma Akter, newborn Shishu Abdullah, elder brother Nizam Uddin and sister-in-law Jyotsna Begum were buried at the family graveyard next to the house. Sister Tamanna Akhter Zulekha was buried at her father-in-law's house in Sidhla village of Gauripur upazila.

Nayan Chandra Das, in-charge of Shyamganj Highway Police Outpost, said Azim Uddin, elder brother of the deceased, had filed a case. The driver is on the run. The bus was seized but no one was detained.
