A factory for making home-made weapons and weapons was found in a house in Chittagong city, police said. The factory was found in a house in Bangshalpara area of Agrabad on Friday morning. Double Mooring police said they raided the house and seized a large quantity of arms and ammunition.
A woman named Meherun Nesa Mukta was also arrested at the time. Police say the weapons factory was found while investigating an incident. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Double Mooring Police Station Mohammad Mohsin said a domestic weapons factory was found in Bangshalpara area.
The police raided the factory and seized two home-made weapons and several weapons-making equipment. He said a woman had been arrested in the incident. Nezam Khan, the owner of the house, used to build a factory and make weapons. However, he was not found during the operation. It is also being investigated whether anyone else is involved with Nezam in this arms factory. A case has been filed with the police station in this regard.
