BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that democracy will be established by removing the current government through mass uprising in the new year. He made the remarks after paying homage at the tomb of former president Ziaur Rahman on the occasion of Chhatra Dal's founding anniversary on Friday.
Mirza Fakhrul said that this fascist dictatorial government must be defeated through a mass uprising through greater unity of the people, unity of political parties. We are working towards this goal. Inshallah, we believe we will succeed.
At the same time, he added, "I am expecting a tax-free and autocratic Bangladesh on this day."
