Arif Hossain Mallick, sub-inspector of Pallabi police station in the capital, has been sacked for drug use. The Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pallabi Police Station was sacked last Monday (January 4). Police personnel working in the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have recently been dope tested. According to the DMP's headquarters list, evidence of heroin use was found against Arif.
Arif Hossain Mallick is a very meritorious student in the history department of Dhaka University. In his student life, he has passed all the public examinations including Dhaka University in the first class. There are several drug related allegations against SI Arif Hossain Mallick. A secret report from an intelligence agency also revealed his involvement with drug traffickers. At one time he was also the most influential officer of the police station.
According to sources, the Bihari-non-Bengali camps in Pallabi area are mainly drug dens. Due to this, SI Arif formed a special friendship with drug dealers. At one stage Arif himself became addicted to drugs. He also regularly took money from several drug spots.
In this regard, SI Arif said, it was closed in Rajarbagh on Monday. You may also be fired. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station Kazi Wazed Ali said, "I am hearing that Arif has been sacked." However, the documents have not been received yet.
