‘Dad doesn’t need money, you come back to the country. I want to see your face, ”said Shahinur Akter, the mother of Mehdi Hassan Akash, who died in an electric short circuit in Saudi Arabia.

Shahinur Akhter last spoke to his son on the day of the accident on Sunday. Akash told his mother to send money next week. Akash wanted to know from his mother who would come to the country in the month of Ramadan. Akash will return home before Ramadan, but in a coffin.

Mourning is going on in Nalua village of Matlab Dakshin Upazila in the presence of relatives. Akash died Sunday night in an electrical short circuit in the Saudi city of Taif.

Akash's uncle Liton, 42, and his cousin Faisal Mollah, 25, died in the same accident. At present their bodies are in the hospitals of that country.

Mehdi's cousin Masood confirmed the death, saying Selim, the son of Liton's cousin, had called to inform us of his death.

Masood said the three of them worked in that country on free visas. The families of the deceased have not yet informed the local administration. Attempts are being made to bring their bodies.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fahmida Haque said the foreign ministry and local people's representatives could not be reached for comment on the three deaths in Saudi Arabia. I will cooperate with them to bring the body back to the country.
