After the opening of the educational institution, only 10th and 12th class students will have regular classes, Education Minister Dipu Moni said, adding that the rest will go to the educational institution once a week to take classes.
She was speaking in Parliament on Sunday during the process of passing a proposal to amend the existing law to provide for the publication of HSC and equivalent results without examination.
The minister said preparations have been made to open educational institutions by February 4. Initially there will be regular classes of 10th and 12th classes after the opening of the educational institution. Students in other classes will come once a week. Will take a whole week of reading. Will come again one day next week.
She added that students have to sit huddled in the classroom. It is not possible to follow the hygiene rules. Therefore, arrangements will be made to bring students of all classes to the class on different days without bringing them together.
It may be mentioned that five and a half crore students from primary to higher education level have been under house arrest for 11 consecutive months. With the arrival of the corona vaccine, preparations have finally begun to open an educational institution. Last Friday, the heads of the institutions became restless after the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) directed them to prepare for the opening of the educational institutions.
Later, cleaning activities have started in the school-college from Saturday. Closed classrooms, dusty blackboards and the yard of the institution are being washed. Homeless students are also breathing a sigh of relief at the news of the preparations to open the educational institution. They want to get back to class quickly. For this reason, schools and colleges in rural and Corona districts, which are less affected, should be opened first. Last Friday night, Mausir sent instructions to school-college principals across the country to prepare for the opening of schools and colleges by February 4. A guideline to maintain hygiene is also given with this notice.
Classroom benches need to be placed at a distance of three feet, the GoD line said. One student on a bench less than five feet in length and two students on a bench of five to seven feet in length may conduct classes in accordance with the guidelines. The temperature should be checked with a thermometer before entering the school.
