BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is leaving for Singapore on Saturday for medical treatment. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka on a Singapore Airlines flight at 8.30 am. However, it is not known how long he will stay. According to BNP sources, Mirza Fakhrul is suffering from high blood pressure, IBS, spinal cord, dental problems, blockage in the internal carotid artery of the neck and several other diseases.
Fakhrul has been going to Singapore for treatment for several years. He last visited Singapore in October 2019. His regular treatment has already been disrupted due to busyness and corona.
