Bangladesh Border Security Force (BGB) has demolished the concrete structure of a house under construction following allegations by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

The incident took place in Khalishakotal area bordering Fulbari upazila of Kurigram on Sunday afternoon. The matter was brought to the notice of the BSF and a written complaint was lodged with the Shimulbari BGB company. The BGB and the BSF held a flag meeting on Sunday at around 12 noon.

Then part of the half-finished house under construction was demolished. The BGB has also given verbal notice to Shahidul Islam. Mostafa Kamal Mozammel Haque, Mozaffar Ali, Al Amin Mia and Anwarul Haque have also given verbal notices to Shahidul Islam for constructing houses near the international border. No land. I have built houses with little effort.

It was broken. The damage is a lot. Mostafa Kamal said, we people of two countries are living in the same mahalla on the border. Where will we go if the house is demolished? Ershadul Haque, a member of Naodanga Union Parishad's border ward 9, said some parts of the house were demolished in the presence of BGB.

The rest have been verbally asked to evacuate. 15 BGB Lalmonirhat Shimulbari Company Commander Subedar Abdul Haque said some parts have been demolished as houses were built on the zero line subject to investigation based on a written complaint by the BSF.
