Beximco Pharmaceuticals may start selling corona virus vaccine in the country's market from next month.

Beximco's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rabbur Raza was quoted by Reuters as saying on Tuesday.

According to the report, Beximco is buying 3 million doses of Corona vaccine from the Seram Institute of India for sale in the open market.

What will the price be?

Oxford-AstraZeneca will buy Beximco for 8 per dose of this tick. The price at which they are buying vaccines to give to the government is almost double that.

The average person will have to spend around taka 1,125 (13.27) to buy a dose of this vaccine. It will cost tk 2,250 to buy two doses of vaccine for each.

Rabbur Reza, COO of Beximco, told Reuters that the government and the Serum Institute would start providing vaccines for sale in the open market later this month. In the meantime, Beximco has signed an agreement with Seram Institute for 1 million dose vaccines. An additional 20 lakh doses of vaccine may be added.

Reza said preliminary discussions have been held not only with Serum, but also with Biological E and Bharat Biotech. But since there is an agreement with Seram, Beximco will work on the vaccine for now. However, if the government wants any vaccine outside the estrogen vaccine, it will be discussed in that way.

Beximco Pharmaceuticals entered into an agreement with Seram Institute last August to import vaccines from India and supply them to Bangladesh. From next month, they will provide 5 million doses of vaccine to the government every month.
