He has been in power for two and a half years. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has been cornered by the pressure to step down. The 11-party opposition alliance has been protesting against him.

Earlier, opposition leaders called Imran Khan a "servant" of the Pakistan Army. This time Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the head of the opposition alliance, called their movement against Imran a 'jihad'. At a public meeting in Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he called on the Pakistani people to join his movement.

He called for jihad and said that this jihad will continue as long as the ruling party oppresses the poor. Fazlur Rahman also demanded that the country agree to make any sacrifice for the removal of Imran.

Comparing the Imran government with the rule of General Ziaul Haque and General Parvez, Fazlur Rahman said that there is no democracy in Pakistan at the moment. The government has been deceiving the people by disrespecting the constitution.
