Coronavirus has killed 23 more people in the country. The total death toll stood at 7,599.
At the same time, 684 new patients have been identified. Through this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 5 lakh 15 thousand 184 people.
This information has been given in the last 24 hours in a notification of the health department on Saturday.
According to the notification, 9,701 samples have been tested in 180 government and private labs in the last 24 hours. A total of 32 lakh 49 thousand 402 samples were tested.
Considering the sample test, the detection rate in 24 hours is 7.05 percent. And 15.85 percent have been identified in the total examination so far.
Of the 23 new deaths, 17 were men and six were women. The identified death rate is 1.48 percent.
Meanwhile, 964 more people have recovered from Corona. With this, the total number of healthy people in the country stands at 4 lakh 59 thousand 620 people. Recovery rate is 89.21 percent.
After the first corona patient was identified in Bangladesh on March 8, the first person died on March 18, the Department of Health said.
