Snake venom worth Tk 85 crore was recovered from the iron gate area of Chowdhurypara under Rampura police station. At that time, RAB arrested five persons named Shafiqul Islam, Zahirul Haque, Mojibur Rahman, Dulal and Moklesur Rahman.

The RAB official said that based on the intelligence information, a team of RAB-12 came to know that members of a gang were exchanging huge amount of snake venom in this area of Rampura police station in Dhaka. The raid was carried out on the basis of such information. Five members of the gang were arrested at that time. They recovered 12 pounds of snake venom, six testing kits, a CD and a manual.
