A woman named Nargu Khatun (36) was strangled to death by miscreants in Sirajganj's Shahjadpur upazila.
Police recovered his body from his house in Bri Angaru village of the upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nargu Khatun, daughter of Ismail Sardar of Bri-Angaru East.
Police and locals said Nargu Khatun had been suffering from shortness of breath for a long time. Who or what killed Nargu Khatun by slitting his throat late on Thursday night and left the body next to the house. On Friday morning, the people of the area saw the body lying on the ground and informed the police. Later, the police recovered the body and took it to the police station.
Shahjadpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahid Mahmud Khan said, "We are looking into the matter seriously." The body was recovered and sent to the morgue. The case is being prepared.
