Gradually winter has started all over the country. Although so far the incidence of cold is low. However, due to the change of seasons, dry feeling has appeared in nature. As a result, people get cold-fever and various respiratory diseases in the dust and sand at this time. But this time the corona virus seems to have complicated the situation. Since the onset of winter, the number of patients affected by corona has been increasing by leaps and bounds. The picture of increasing number of patients in public and private hospitals shows that the country is slowly moving towards the second wave of corona infection. As a result, experts fear that the situation in Bangladesh may become dire in the next few months if the winter sets in.

The first corona patient was identified in the country on March 8. At first, coronary heart disease and coronary heart disease were rare. But as the days go by, coronary infections and deaths become more widespread. At this time, when the virus spread throughout the country, the situation took a turn for the worse. At that time, the government initially limited corona sample testing to IEDCR only.

According to the Department of Health, the number of patients in Dhaka hospitals is increasing again. Many patients are being forced to be admitted to private hospitals as ICUs are not available in government hospitals. There are 113 ICU beds in nine government-run hospitals in Dhaka for corona treatment. Of these, more than 6 percent of patients were admitted to the ICU yesterday. Not only public but also private hospitals have less ICU beds for corona patients.

There are 203 ICUs in nine private hospitals for corona patients in Dhaka. Of these, patients were admitted in 129 beds yesterday. In other words, there are less ICU beds in private hospitals now. As a result, it will be difficult to get an ICU if the situation is dire. Therefore, experts are now urging to focus on increasing the ICU.

Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) President and Member of the National Technical Advisory Committee Prof. Iqbal Arslan told our time that in the early days of the corona infection, there was a lack of preparation that we saw in the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health to prevent it. Then we were able to cut it through the intervention of the Prime Minister and the work of various responsible people.

But the situation that is prevailing now, we see that the deficiencies, inconsistencies, difficulties, weaknesses of management are the same as before. If the place of management is not fixed quickly then we will get in trouble again. We have given a lot of advice to the government on behalf of the National Technical Advisory Committee to solve these problems. Those suggestions need to be implemented first.

Bangladesh Medical Association (BMM) Secretary General. Ihteshamul Haque Chowdhury said the health ministry had closed four test centers after Corona became tolerant. Then we were told to wait for Corona's Second Web. The government has not closed the hospital since then. The Ministry of Health has told us that if the infection increases again, it will reopen the closed hospitals.

Dr. Ihteshamul added, "We had a lot of trouble at the beginning of the corona infection." There was looting somewhere, there was lack of coordination, our doctors and people were in panic. What drugs will be used in the treatment and the treatment protocol has also changed frequently. Now that's fine. Now doctors have experienced how to treat corona. But the safety equipment of health workers including doctors is very important. We still do not understand what will happen to it. As far as we know, hospitals do not have much safety equipment. Not sure how much is in the CMSD. We are scared in this place. Because Corona is growing a lot. As a result, who knows what the government thinks about the safety of health workers, or the noise like before. This problem needs to be solved quickly. Accommodation was also provided for those on duty at Corona Hospital. It has been closed. If the health worker goes home after duty, his wife, children or family members are at risk of infection. So if they don't want to take responsibility, then there will be a problem. The government needs to solve these problems quickly.
