Wheelchairs are being distributed to a total of 105 people including children with disabilities in Natore on the occasion of Mujib Year. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad inaugurated the program by distributing 10 wheelchairs at the Disability Services and Relief Center on Wednesday afternoon. Shahriaz.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers said that disability is no longer an obstacle. The Disability-Friendly Government is committed to bring people with disabilities back into the mainstream of society by formulating and implementing effective plans and providing them with education, health care and work materials.

Bhakta Prasad Das, Disability Services Officer at the Disability Services and Relief Center, said the Ministry of Social Welfare has allotted 105 wheelchairs for a total of 105 persons, including children with disabilities, on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Wheelchairs were provided to 10 persons receiving medical treatment at the Disability Services and Relief Center today. The remaining 95 wheelchairs are being distributed in seven upazilas of the district.

Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Md. Zahidul Islam and Deputy Director of Social Services Department Md. Mostafizur Rahman among others spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Bhakta Prasad Das, Disability Services Officer of Disability Services and Relief Center.
