David Warner has returned to the Sydney Test squad from injury to boost Australia's batting order. Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the squad for the last two matches of the four-Test Border-Gavaskar series. Warner is in the 18-member team. However, another opener Joe Burns has been ruled out due to poor form.

Earlier, Aussie coach Justin Langer expressed doubts about Warner's injury-free play. Although he was able to bat, he had some discomfort with fielding and running. However, there is still one week left for the Sydney Test. Warner has also been included in the team as he has improved well.

Cricket Australia chief selector Travis Horns said: "Warner has improved tremendously from injury. He will be given all sorts of opportunities to play in the Sydney Test. There is still one week left for the test. However, Joe Burns did not show his best. He did not meet the expectations of the selectors.

In addition to Warner, Will Pukowski and Shane Abbott have returned to the team. Pukovsky was on his way to his Test debut. But in practice he was kept out due to concussion injury. According to Horns, Pukovsky is now ready to play in the Sydney Test.
