Pakistan has claimed that two Pakistani soldiers were killed in a shootout with Indian troops on the Line of Control (LoC). This was reported by Al Jazeera online. The Pakistani military says the shootings took place in the disputed mountainous region of Kashmir. Two Pakistani soldiers, Naik Shahjahan, 35, and Sepoy Hamid, 21, were killed in the exchange of fire. It said the incident took place on Tuesday in the Bagsa area of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Pakistan has claimed that they have also retaliated. The Indian Army members and equipment were damaged. However, they did not specify anything in this regard.
On the other hand, the Indian Army has not made any official statement about the exchange of fire. The two nuclear-armed countries have so far fought two wars over Kashmir. Both countries claim the whole of Kashmir as their own. But in reality both countries have been able to control parts of it.
