She was speaking as the chief guest at a function to mark the completion of the Presidential Parade December 2020 and 7 BMA long-term courses at the Bangladesh Military Academy in Bhatiari, Chittagong on Thursday morning. The Prime Minister participated in the virtual event through video conferencing from Ganobhaban.

Sheikh Hasina said, "Our army is also making significant contribution in the UN peacekeeping mission." As a result, our army officers are leaving a lot of contribution in maintaining peace in different countries of the world and in every country our armed forces are being praised.

Describing the current Covid-19 period as a "critical period" for the entire world, including Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said, "As a result, my economy is stagnating, my livelihood is being limited and in every case human life is suffering.

She said, "Our army is making a huge contribution in making the people of Bangladesh aware, standing by them and helping them in dealing with this corona."

Describing the Bangladesh Army as a 'people's army', the Prime Minister said, "I have seen our army members stand by the people and help them in dealing with any disaster or any problem."

Calling on the new army officers to build themselves up to brighten the image of the country abroad, the Prime Minister said, "At home and abroad, our army has to perform its duties. So, in all cases, they will be efficient, fit and up to international standards - wherever they go in the world, they must always be vigilant so that they can keep the country's reputation intact. "

Sheikh Hasina said that everything needed for the training of the army is being done. At the same time, overall work is being done to build a prosperous and prosperous golden Bangladesh free from the hunger and poverty desired by the father of the nation and for that purpose development work is underway by formulating a long term plan along with a five year plan.

She said, 'Bangladesh will be a developed and prosperous country in the world in '41. At that time, you are the ones who will be in charge of running the country. You will be the soldiers to build the country of '41. With that in mind, you have to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to you.

Referring to the Centennial Delta Plan-2100, he said, "We are working towards the goal of developing this land as a developed and prosperous country and fulfilling the dream of the father of the nation."

Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed thanked them on the occasion. He distributed prizes among the young cadets for various meritorious contributions on behalf of the Prime Minister. Battalion Senior Under Officer Mahmudul Hasan received the Sword of Honor as the best vigilant cadet. He also won the ‘Army Chief Gold Medal’ for achieving the highest score in the Army.

The new cadets were sworn in at the ceremony. The Prime Minister was accorded a state salute and the Prime Minister enjoyed a pleasant parade of young cadets.
