Despite the Corona situation, the government is handing over free new books to about 4 and a half crore students on time. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate the distribution of books at a virtual event from Ganobhaban on December 31 tomorrow.

On the same day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the distribution of books by handing over the books to some primary and secondary level students in the presence of ministers and secretaries at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center auditorium in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. The next day, January 1, the distribution will begin in educational institutions across the country. After that, new books will be distributed to the students of sixth to ninth class for a total of twelve days in three phases.

Although the book festival is not held on January 1 due to the closure of educational institutions due to coronavirus, these students are getting free books at the beginning of the year. This time around 35 crore books are being printed.

On the other hand, on the occasion of Mujib Year, novelty has been brought on the cover of the book. On the back page of the textbook, various stills of Bangabandhu, independence, great liberation war, language movement and various developmental activities of the present government have been added with captions.
