In Bagatipara of Natore, miscreants cut down half a hundred mango trees of Nasim Mahmud, president of Upazila Juba League in the dark of night.
At some point on Tuesday night, these trees were cut down on a land in Chokgoas field of Panka union of the upazila.
Affected Juba League leader Nasim Mahmud said he had planted half a hundred mango saplings of Bari-4 variety on his own 1.5 bigha land on a commercial basis two years ago.
With proper care the trees became beautiful stalks. But in one night they were cut off by unknown miscreants. What kind of enmity is this man with the tree, and what kind of revenge, I do not understand!
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bagatipara Model Police Station Nazmul Haque said the police station has not received any complaint in this regard yet.
